Sustained

In legal terms, “sustained” typically refers to a ruling or decision that is upheld or supported by evidence or legal precedent. In reference to an appeal, if a claim is sustained, it means that the appeal has been upheld and the original decision is still in effect. In reference to an objection, if an objection is sustained it means that the judge has ruled that the objection is valid and the opposing counsel must stop or change their line of questioning.
